Parents’ Prayer

[This is from an article by Gloria Copeland; she prays it in faith over any unsaved family members every day]

“God, I thank You that Your tender mercies hover over my child.  I thank You Lord that he/she is born again, filled with Holy Spirit, and obedient to You.  I thank You that Your Word is in his/her mouth [Is 59:21], that he/she is taught by Your Spirit and great is his/her peace [Is 54:13].  I am moved by Your Word and I call it done in Jesus’ Name!” 

These are our favorite scriptures to pray concerning

family and friends who are pre-believers.  They are posted near their photos.

Ezekiel 11:19  [AMP]

And I will give them one heart [a new heart] and I will put a new spirit within them; and I will take the stony [unnaturally hardened] heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh [sensitive and responsive to the touch of their God].

Zechariah 10:7-9  [NASB]

"Ephraim will be like a mighty man, and their heart will be glad as if from wine; indeed, their children will see it and be glad, their heart will rejoice in the LORD. I will whistle for them to gather them together, for I have redeemed them; and they will be as numerous as they were before.  When I scatter them among the peoples, they will remember Me in far countries,
   and they with their children will live and come back.”

Romans 4:17  [NIV]

“As it is written: ‘I have made you a father of many nations.’ He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.”
